@Lori, I'd boil them a few times, then wash them. It can take up to 8 washes for hemp inserts to soften up and absorb. Let me know how they work!

I use G diapers on Evan(17mo) and am now using them with Cali(1 mo) and I love them! I use some handmade inserts from etsy, but recently(because I saw them here) bought the ones from cottonwood. I haven't used them yet, just washing em up first?! Thanks for this, very helpful!!

I told you this already but I totally have some of these! A friend on twitter gave me 9 pairs of gpants size medium!! I have the snap in liners too! I just need the inserts!! I registered for cloth and disposables so I guess we'll see how many we get and go from there. Or maybe while she's small we'll use disposables and then switch to cloth once she's not pooping as much... I hear they poop a lot when they're small.

Thanks for the great post!!

I had every intention of using these with Jasper and then when he was born, he was in NICU for 10 days and I kind of wussed out and used disposables. Lame, I know. I still feel bad about it.

Wow, these are great!

When my kids were small I used Kushies cloth diapers and at the time it was just the stiff cotton flannel diaper. There were no liners, nylon barriers or anything else. Just cotton. It's amazing to see how far the reusable diaper technology has come.
