Winner Announcement: Congrats to Lisa R!
Early last month I as well as several of the Walmart Moms had a chance to sit down with the producers of the Secrets of the Mountain for an exclusive viewing in NYC. Secrets of the Mountain is a television movie produced by Walmart and P&G. I know what you’re thinking, “Oh no, not a cheesy made for TV movie full of product placement.” Well, let me tell you, there is product placement; a little heavy towards the beginning, but this movie nonetheless is very well done.It tells of a single mother and her family dealing with issues brought on by divorce. The mom is a public defender who copes with the divorce by keeping busy at work. Her busy schedule puts a strain on the family’s relationship, but things change as the family goes on a trip to visit the mountain they inherited from their uncle. The trip turns into a quest of teachable moments. It shows the importance of sticking together as a family through life’s trials and triumphs.
With this movie, Walmart and P&G hope to take back primetime family TV by delivering good quality entertainment for families. Remember TGIF? Remember tuning in to ABC every Friday night to watch your favorite family programs? Walmart and P&G are very passionate about this project and they are already working on the next movie. This project will continue if you tune in to the premiere of Secrets of the Mountain April 16, 2010 at 8/7c on NBC. If you have a blog, Twitter, or Facebook account, feel free to post your thoughts. Your feedback (positive or negative) will help Walmart and P&G with future productions.
Take a peek at the trailer. What do you think?
How would you like a chance to win the Secrets of the Mountain DVD and soundtrack, produced by Randy Jackson? This bundle will be available at Walmart on April 17th. For a chance to win, share why family entertainment is important to your family.

I read and value each and every comment and I visit those who comment... even if I don't comment back. I'm working on it, I swear! Stuff you should know *ehehm*: So... sometimes companies send me items of interest in exchange for a feature on my blog. Some also compensate me for my time and efforts creating content to promote them. Yay! I always disclose if I have a relationship with a company. If I don't disclose a relationship with a company and I link to them, then the link is most likely an affiliate link. I use a plugin that automatically does this for me. Cool huh? Just want to make sure you are aware :). Read my full disclosure policy
