At Home

002

Friday, my mother brought over a pantry cabinet that she wasn’t using. It feels so good to have some extra space to store food, dishes, and cookware.

I also went grocery shopping alone. I only went over our budget by $40 and brought home a nice variety of extras. Greg keeps commending me for my efforts :).

Friday, I came down with a cold. I predicted that Boogie would catch it, so I couldn’t resist grabbing a homeopathic cough syrup I stumbled upon (another extra).

Shopping alone feels great!

For Mother’s Day, the inlaws gave me an Amazon gift card. I was going to get something for the living room, but I ended up loading up on Charlie’s Soap and YummyEarth Organic Lollipops for Boogie.

We’ve been using nothing but cloth diapers lately, and Greg doesn’t think it’s so bad.

Boogie comes home from his Great Grandma’s tomorrow and I still need to pack for a trip I’m going on Thursday. I may return insane. I will be connecting quite a few times.

I’m trying to catch up on online work. Thou shalt not rush.

I’m going to lay down now ’cause sick mama needs to rest.

This was supposed to be a weekend of “chill” but I’ve been busy cleaning and organizing my apartment. Off to another week.

Glad to hear you are feeling better!

I hope you get better. Being sick and trying to deal with children isn’t a good combination.

I’ve always wanted to try cloth diapers. I’m still in the researching phase. You’ve provided a lot of useful information, nevertheless.

Do you really want to know what’s going on in my home? lol. I’ve also created a shopping budget when it comes to my single-parent family. I can usually stick to my budget without going on a tangent and splurging on a cute little dress for my daughter or a pair or shorts for my son. We manage pretty well.

Right now, I’m attempting to furnish and decorate my kids’ bedrooms. I’ve put that off long enough. I’m still trying to decide on a theme. Right now, my daughter has a Dora room so I was thinking about creating a Diego theme for my son. Either that or Elmo.

I sure hope you get better quickly! We have been cleaning up around the house and getting ready for a busy week with end of the school year events. With the summer closing in I am stocking up on all the BOGO’s combined with coupons to keep my pantry and freezer loaded up for hungry teens and friends. I am also going to be working on rebuilding myself too. I am so mom-focused that I sometimes forget about little ole Shelly.

@Sheliza, I’m feeling better today, thank you :). There’s nothing like a stocked freezer and cupboards. I’m on this nail polish kick, it’s how I’m re-inventing myself at the moment. I may try some new hair accessories :).

Hey Sheena! Sounds like a good kind of busy! We cleaned our house today (Hubby included wooooot!) and then just relaxed. 2/3 kids napped, so I did some crocheting!

We haven’t been cloth diapering regularly as our well was broken, so we had no water!! So this week(it just was fixed) I’m back to the cloths. Though we don’t do nights anymore..it just DID NOT work for my second child…but maybe we’ll try with my third.
