Yesterday, some close girlfriends and I had lunch at Wendy’s – the wrong Wendy’s. See, we had a small bloggers meet-up at a specific Wendy’s in Naperville, and after some GPS reroutes, we ended up at the incorrect Wendy’s. We didn’t realize until we had received our food and noticed she had not made it yet. LOL. We made the best of the situation and continued enjoying our lunch. I’m sure our meals were just as tasty as they would have been at the other Wendy’s.
We ordered from the new Pick 2 menu. For $4.99, we had a choice of one of four Garden Sensations Salads and a choice of a Baked Potato, Small Chili, Chicken Go Wrap, Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, small beverage, water, or small frosty. The Garden Sensations Salads alone are $5.99, so this is a great deal. I did find it odd that you have to choose an additional food item OR a drink. If you go with an additional food item, then a drink will be separate from the Pick 2 price.
I chose the Pick 2 Spicy Chicken Caesar Salad with a Chocolate Frosty and I had to have a small order of fries to go with. My meal was delish. I do wish that I could have gotten more than five pieces of chicken, though. Look closely, most of what you see are croutons. I’m sorry, I love lots of chicken in my salad and I complain every time I get skimped. It’s just what I do 0:-).

Wendys has some great promotions lately ! When I was there earlier this week, they had 99¢ items, although the register still rang some of them up at their normal prices.

While traveling on a really hot day this summer, I stopped at Wendy’s and had a Chocolate Frosty and the Caesar Salad from the dollar menu. How refreshing! Love Wendy’s!

I love my chili, but find when eating out that most restaurant chili is not very tasty. I do like Wendy’s chili though.

I’ve tried the Wendy’s salads…the Apple Pecan Chicken is delish! Glad to see they are offering a smaller size though. The original is huge!
