Walmart Coupon Policy 2011

I recently wrote a post about Walmart’s New Coupon Policy. The policy has been revised, so I wanted to make sure that I shared the revisions with you all in case there is any confusion, which I’m sure there has been. Walmart has provided additional clarification on their coupon policy, located at walmartstores.com/7655.aspx. The revised coupon policy clarifies Walmart’s coupon acceptance guidelines and additional clarification on coupons that Walmart will redeem.

My comments are an open forum, so if you have anything you’d like to share or address (good or bad) regarding Walmart’s Coupon Policy and your local stores, Walmart is listening!

I am a voluntary participant in the Walmart Moms program. Walmart has provided me with compensation to share their new coupon policy with you. All opinions (if expressed) are my own.

  1. It seems like more and more retailers are coming down on the coupon stacking…what a shame. Why does it matter if a customer has one store and one manufacturer coupon for the same item? Walmart is only discounting their coupon the other one is sent to the manufacturer and the store gets the money back, no?

  2. Joanna says:

I use coupons and shop at Publix and Target. I have always been able to save more money shopping there than at Walmart. They take any and all competitor coupons within a certain radius around their locations. They don’t have to have a “Competitors’ coupons

    * A specific item for a specified price, for example, $2.99″

You can simply have a competitors coupon. And with all the coupons I’ve printed off the internet and clipped out of newspapers, magazines, fliers, etc I have never seen but maybe a handful with the specific price listed. I think that this is one rule that they need to drop to help out those that clip coupons out of necessity and not out of doing it to stock up.
