Sons of Anarchy Cast will lead the morning ride followed by live performances from Blackberry Smoke and more!
Just to clear the air, this is a no strings attached post. I just happen to be a Sons of Anarchy fan and think this is a great cause. M’kay?
The 2nd Annual Boot Ride and Rally will take place in Los Angeles on Sunday, August 26th, 2012. The event will be hosted by The Boot Campaign, a military non-profit that donates to military personnel healing from a variety of physical and emotional combat wounds. Stars from FX’s Sons of Anarchy will lead bikers at 10:30am at Route 66 Classic Grill and cap the day with a 3pm rally at The Happy Ending Bar & Restaurant in Hollywood with live performances by Blackberry Smoke, the quintet of “rock outlaws”. Non-riders are invited to The Happy Ending Bar & Restaurant ($25) to see the riders roll in and enjoy the concert.
Sponsors of the Boot Ride & Rally include The Happy Ending Bar & Restaurant, Route 66 Diner, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, LLC (TCFHE), Bates Footwear, Wild Turkey, Veterans United Foundation, Shiner Beers, Harley Davidson, Vista Energy, Southwest Airlines, Event 360 and Hint Water.
This year, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has donated 250 copies of the Sons of Anarchy Season 4 DVD as part of their sponsorship.
Out of prison and back in business, SAMCRO faces a powerful new nemesis as they forge an unlikely alliance and head in a dangerous new direction. As a deadly internal power struggle rocks the club to its very core, Jax struggles with the legacy of his father and makes plans for the future of his family amid chaos, corruption, betrayal, and murder. Action-packed with electrifying extended episodes, Sons of Anarchy Season Four — available on Blu-ray and DVD Aug. 28 — will take you for the ride of your life with extended creator’s cut episodes, deleted scenes, commentaries, gag reel, featurettes with cast, plus much more!
Proceeds from the ride and rally, along with the Boot Campaign’s sale of military combat boots, are used to fund veteran’s initiatives and programs through the Boot Campaign and a variety of charity partners such as Military Warriors Support Foundation, Wounded Wear, Not Alone, Special Ops Survivors, Armed Forces Foundation and Lone Survivor Foundation, that help with a variety of both physical and emotional issues that returning soldiers face today. The Boot Campaign wants Americans to put their boots on to “symbolically walk in the shoes of our military men and women to remember their service and sacrifice.”
