This Summer we’ve been making an effort to get Jayden in the water more. He hasn’t had lessons like we’ve planned. And I feel like a loser for not doing so, but I realize that the opportunity for lessons will still be available after the Summer season has passed. I don’t know why I felt like swim lessons were a Summer thing, when in fact they are a necessity year ’round. For parents needing to look into swimming lessons here are some resources.
As part of the SwimWays SwimTeam, we were sent a Swim Vest which has come in handy. Every other weekend Jayden has pool time at his great grandma’s house and he absolutely loves it there. He owns the kiddie pool.
He also gets in the larger pool where wearing his vest is crucial. I love that it straps up between his legs to ensure that it stays on.
Jayden and his great grandma’s neighbor.
We’ve also been hitting the beach with the Swim Vest. As we arrive, he makes a mad dash to the water. He loves it!
I am just in awe at how much Jayden’s been loving the water lately, granted he still dislikes getting water in his face, but he’s handling that quite well. To celebrate Jayden’s progress, I’m having a fun little giveaway for a Spring Float! I received one too and I can’t wait to lounge in it!
Note: Comments are open to those who want to comment without getting buried in giveaway entries.
Giveaway ends on Aug 20th, 2012 at 12:01 EST. A winner in the U.S. will be randomly selected, announced in the Rafflecopter widget above, and contacted via email. Check out my Giveaway Rules if you have any questions. Good luck!
I am a member of the SwimWays Swim Team. We’ve received product to assist Jayden in his swimming endeavors and to facilitate this giveaway. Visit Teach Me To Swim for water safety resources!
