Asian Dinner Party / Cooking Planit T-fal Giveaway 8/30/13

It’s giveaway time! I and 49 other bloggers have teamed up with Cooking Planit to give away 50 sets of T-fal cookware and the Cooking Planit iPhone/iPad app! Before I get into the giveaway, I want to share a bit about my experience with T-fal’s Stainless Steel and Non-stick cookware and the Cooking Planit App. I’ve been cooking with stainless steel for a few years and there is sort of a science to it… which I haven’t quite mastered yet. One of the things that I love about my new T-fal set is the integration of non-stick with Thermo-Spot heat indicator. No matter how hard I try to apply what I’ve researched, meat seems to almost always stick to my other stainless set. T-fal’s non-stick pans alleviate my frustration and show me exactly when the pan is perfectly preheated. The great thing about stainless steel is that it can be used in the oven as well. This set can handle temps up to 450/500 degrees F. And the icing on the cake? The entire set including the non-stick skillets are dishwasher safe.

With my new T-fal cookware and Cooking Planit handy, I prepared the Asian Dinner Party meal. It’s a great gluten free/paleo option. I had most of the ingredients on hand and growing in the garden. I’ve been holding on to a pork tenderloin roast because I was unsure of how I wanted to cook it, so this was the perfect opportunity. The amount of chopping was intense but it was worth it. I love that each of the three courses called for many of the same ingredients/seasonings. Everything came together perfectly. The only thing I’d change next time around is reduce the amount of red pepper flakes used in the cabbage slaw. It’s supposed to be spicy, but it can be taken down a notch.

Using the Cooking Planit app was a breeze. I loaded the site up on my laptop since Greg was using the iPad. One of my favorite features of Cooking Planit is that each step has its own page/slide and the text is large and bold enough to be seen a few feet away while working in the kitchen. This makes it easy to follow along if you need to step away from your device. I constantly find myself getting lost in written recipes so being able to look at one step at a time is a huge help. I could go on about how awesome Cooking Planit is, but you just have to see for yourself!

And now, the giveaway!
