Juicy Jax is growing SO fast! His appetite is increasing and so are his wet diapers. During the waking hours, we can monitor his wet diapers, but at night he is prone to leaks. Jaxon is primarily cloth diapered and nighttime prep consists of strapping him up in a big ‘ol dipe with three inserts. And even with three inserts, he sometimes manages to get them drenched, leading to leaks.
Since we also co-sleep, we use a waterproof mattress cover and a pad on top of the sheets to protect against them. Sometimes our night routine is complex. Diapers aren’t stuffed, the mattress pad isn’t clean, one of the boys is protesting sleep, I’m exhausted, this, that, and the other. All this to say that if there are disposables in the house (on the rare occasion), I snatch them up with the quickness before bed. We all have those days when we are perfectly imperfect.
I was offered the opportunity to try out a new diaper by Luvs. And as much I want to be all super-crunchy to the public, I’ll use a variety of disposables second to cloth. So with that said, I agreed. I’ve never used Luvs on the boys before, so I was interested in testing out the quality. We received the new Super Absorbent Leakguards and the most well putogether press kit I’ve seen in a long time. We put these diapers to the test for a few weeks and we’ve been very pleased with them.
Unlike regular Luvs, the Super Absorbent Leakguards are much more absorbent. The blue core of the diaper helps lock wetness away and the leg gathers feature a barrier that helps trap leaks. Super Absorbent Leakguards are designed with a soft cottony feel, contoured for an overall great fit. They move when baby moves.
During our trial with Super Absorbent Leakguards, we had some pretty heavy diapers by morning, but we experienced zero leaks throughout the night. These are definitely winners and they smell great too. The sweet smell of baby powder gets me every time. Luvs Super Absorbent Leakguards are available in sizes newborn to six, affordably priced and found in Walmart stores. A size three is $.16 per diaper!
Have you tried Luvs? How do you like them?
