Holiday Decor / Twinkle Light Hall

twinklelights

I’ve been on a mission to make the holidays magical for the boys. That includes decorating until I run out of decorations or opportunities to create/grab more. I was asked by Walmart to share a holiday decor project, so today I’m sharing something super simple that you can do in your homes to make the season bright. If you have a hall in your home that could use a little something, consider turning it into a twinkling hang out spot. May I suggest turning on some Christmas tunes and having a pajama party? You’ll earn major cool points with the kiddies for sure. 😉

All you need are a few boxes of icicle lights, command hooks or tape, and a step ladder. If possible, try to find lightweight lights without the thick cord in the middle. Our lights were on the heavy side, so we used more tape than command hooks. We used 2 boxes of 300ct icicle lights. We could use 100 more to fill in gaps, but it still looks fantastic. Greg zigzagged the lights across the hall and I styled the icicle portions like tree branches. To do this, tape one icicle to the left, the next one to the right and so on, making exceptions if need be.

The weather outside is frightful, but this view is so delightful.

Oh, here’s a peek at our holiday vignette (in progress). The twinkle lights really help set the scene! Stay tuned as I’ll be sharing more holiday decor ideas in the near future!

As a participant in the Walmart Moms Program, I’ve received compensation for my time and efforts in creating this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Now this is a fabulous idea! I think my kids, especially the teens would want this year 'round in their bedrooms.
