Are you tired of my holiday decor posts yet? Don’t worry, I’m just about done with my decorating. I MAY have 2 more decorating posts, though, and I’m not quite sure how I’ll start them off since I’ve already asked you guys if you’re tired of them. *smile* So today I want to share my pretty poinsettias that I found at Walmart. I’m so excited about them because they’re still alive! I remember having poinsettias a few times growing up and I’m not sure they lasted very long. I’m glad my poinsettias came with instructions because I’m sure I’d probably over water them. The instructions recommend watering once a week, keeping them out of drafty/hot conditions. So far so good.
Walmart has a large variety of poinsettias; sizes ranging from 4-12 inches, price points from $4-$15. The selection may differ from store to store. My store had plenty of red and white poinsettias in 6 and 8 inch planters. I decided to go with two 6 inch planters in red. When I got them home, I felt like they needed something. I added some pine cone/berry wreath picks to each plant. Now, they are perfect. Sidenote: Ignore the “place holders” in the photo frames, I’m working on them. :)
The poinsettias are just what we needed to complete our holiday living room decor, adding the fresh/live element we were lacking. Do you decorate with poinsettias? What color is your favorite, the traditional red… or white?
