Baby Notes: Week 23 + Fair Fashion

So here I am at week 23. I am definitely feeling pregnant. Maybe I am drawing a blank here, but oh my goodness this baby is really feisty. Was Jayden this active? The Braxton Hicks are here to stay, slowing me down a bit. But that’s to be expected. No silhouette this biweek, but I do have some cute photos I took at the fair last week :-).

Dress – JCP / Shoes – Old Navy / Bag – Just Fab / Necklace – Alex and Ani / Earrings – ?

Just a little something I threw together :-). The dress was one of my $10-$12 finds.

I have another appointment with the OB next Tuesday. Before I know it, I’ll be coming in for the dreaded glucose test. BLECH. I could decline it, but I will go forward with it for safe measure. Guess I should start working on my birth plan. It’s not going to be complicated, just a few requests. I didn’t have one* with Jayden, but the staff was very attentive and considerate of any preferences we had. I guess that stuff is not really on my mind right now since I’m focused on moving in October.

Oh, baby names. I have my heart set on a name, but we will still be making a list… although I’m uninterested. I feel like the name I chose is a winner :-D.

I’m rambling.

I’ll close with a photo of me pregnant with Jayden at 23 weeks… in mid “Oh” face. I’m happy to be fuller this time around.

23 Weeks

I decided that pregnancy week by week updates were a little redundant and boring (from past experience) so I’m doing them biweekly with Tiny Human #2. Catch up here.

* I do remember signing something that requested no guests, however, my mother made her way up and while I was fine with it the first few hours, I became increasingly annoyed at her attempts to get me an epidural when clearly I didn’t want one. I’ve already made it clear that she is NOT to be in room this time around. In fact I put her in charge of watching Jay when we go in to delivery, so she’ll be busy, lol.

My mom wasn’t allowed in my room either. LOL!

  • You look fantastic in that dress. I love the color! I hope you had a great time at the fair. I love fairs.

I was more vocal about my preferences with baby #2. The first time around, I think the shock of my labor and delivery gave me such high anxiety that I didn’t know what to do. I was afraid to speak up when it came to having too many guests. I gave in when it came to breastfeeding in front of visitors. The whole situation was not something I enjoyed, and I made sure the second time around was different.

It’s those little things that affect you next go round. I especially don’t want visitors in the room until after the birth and settling in. For me, I just didn’t want an audience around my girly parts, but I didn’t care after a while. I did tell my mother not to look, lol. The whole epidural thing and my mom’s restlessness is what did it for me. So this time will def be different. Giving birth is a once in a lifetime event, it has to be special. Plus it’s very painful (which in my case causes high irritation and less tolerance for people trying to butt in) so the less chaos the better. People just need to understand that. It’s not a show, yanno? They will see the baby when the time is right.

  • Looking good! Green is a great color.
