Bacon, Cheddar, Ranch Cheese Ball

Picture it. You get get an email about that holiday potluck party that you said you’d bring a dish for. You stare blankly at the screen and then squint your eyes a bit because Seriously? Did you really volunteer to do such a thing when you’re already swamped with deadlines on top of deadlines?

I get it, girl. This is totally my life. I don’t know what it is about the holidays that make us feel that we have to do #allthethings. It should be the exact opposite, right?

I’ve got you covered. Fret not! Not only will this Bacon, Cheddar, Ranch Cheese Ball recipe take almost no time to make, but it’ll be so good that people will be like, “Puhleeeeease! Make this again!”. You’ll be feeling like some Pinterest Queen and it’ll become your signature dish that might land you a Food Network show.

Too much? Okay, maybe. The point is this – when you combine bacon and cheese, the end result can only be dynamic. It’s really difficult to mess up. But you won’t mess this easy recipe up. I promise you!

Ingredients

6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
1/4 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup chopped green onion
2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, at room temperature
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 (1 oz) package ranch seasoning/salad dressing mix

Directions

In a small bowl, combine half of the bacon crumbles, pecans, and 2 tablespoons green onion. Set aside in the refrigerator.

Using an electric mixer with paddle attachment, beat cream cheese, cheddar cheese, ranch seasoning, remaining bacon and green onion on medium-high until well combined and fluffy, about 1-2 minutes.

Cover mixing bowl and place it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight. Shape the cheese mixture into a ball and roll it in the bacon-pecan mixture that you side aside in the small bowl.

Serve with crackers.

Oh wow! Your cheese ball recipe looks amazing! I just love bacon. We always have family over on the weekend so this cheese ball would be a fun idea to try next time.
