Shutterfly Holiday Cards: So Many Choices

November 30, 2010 · Tech & Photography · leave a comment

As a designer, I simply can’t make up my mind. I’m always tweaking things here and there, swapping things out, and moving things around. When it comes to ordering something graphic or detailed, I stare and stare at my favorites knowing I can only choose one, wanting more than just one style. I know I said I’d go with Snapfish for Holiday photo cards, but now I’m over at Shutterfly looking at their selection of holiday cards. I’ve narrowed my choices down to these three designs in case I decide to use my Snapfish gift card to print photos instead. ...

Snapfish Holiday Cards ($50 Giveaway 12/7/10)

November 30, 2010 · Tech & Photography · 196 comments

And the winner is… Some Lucky Dog! Congrats! I talk a lot about post-holiday sales. I always like to prepare for holidays by purchasing holiday themed goodies when they go on clearance. Last year, I purchased boxes of holiday greeting cards on super sale and we’ll be using them this season. I always make a habit of including a holiday photo or photo cards in with our greeting cards, so this year we’re having 4×8 cards made courtesy of the folks at Snapfish! She and I will be taking each other’s family portraits for our cards. I can’t wait to ...

Ralph Lauren’s Digital Storybook Shopping Experience

Ralph Lauren

Child models from the RL Gang. During my time in NYC for BlogHer, I attended an exclusive event hosted by Ralph Lauren and Mom Central. The event took place in the lavishly decorated Ralph Lauren Reading Room. While there, I had a chance to meet David Lauren, Ralph Lauren’s son. And I learned more about the brand I love dressing my little guy in. I never knew much about the history of the Ralph Lauren and I had a few preconceptions to be honest. Listening to David Lauren tell his dad’s story was simply inspiring and reassured me that the ...

Migrating Google Friend Connect From Blogger/Blogspot to WordPress

July 8, 2010 · Blogging · 8 comments

With so many bloggers migrating from Blogger to WordPress, I’m frequestly asked how to do so without losing Google Friend Connect Followers. So it’s time I post a tutorial on how to do it, so that I don’t have to explain anymore ;). Go to http://www.google.com/friendconnect. Select the Blogger/Blogspot blog being transferred to WordPress. Select “Add the members gadget”. Customize your widget’s colors and width. Generate the code and copy and paste it in notepad. You’ll be pasting it the sidebar of your WordPress blog momentarily. Towards the bottom of that code, there will be a 20-digit site id that ...

Anyfont Plugin & Atahualpa Theme: Quote & Angle Bracket Title Fix

April 29, 2010 · Blogging · leave a comment

When I was using the Atahualpa theme, I ran into these 2 issues which I found little support for. Hopefully these solutions help someone Googling their hearts out for the same issues. Hey buddy, it

Some call me the bargain queen, but I’m certainly not the coupon princess. When it comes to shopping online, however, I can get a little OCD. I will pinch until I can’t pinch any more. People are amazed when I tell them about my fabulous come ups; like my son’s $2 Nike outfit and $4 sneakers. I have a strategy that I continue to follow when shopping online. I stand by it and I’d like to share it with you. Hopefully it will help you on your next online shopping adventure. Continue reading at coNectar…I’d love to read your comments ...
