Walmart’s Bringing (Christmas) Layaway Back! Yeah!

October 12, 2011 · Life & Quirks · leave a comment

Starting October 17th, Christmas Layaway will be available at Walmart stores!!! I for one am super excited about this because this gives us a chance to reserve the items that we want before the Holiday rush whisks them all away. We don’t do credit cards so this gives us a chance to tend to our current financial obligations and gradually make payments on gifts and own them before Christmas. Remorse-free. How Walmart Layaway 2011 Works Only toys and electronics are eligible for layaway. Click here to view a detailed list of eligible items. Layaway applies to items purchased in stores and not ... Oscar and Golden Globe winning film, “The Lion King“, is now available on Blu-ray. Yes you read right. A movie so classic has been remastered to an HD crisp delight. Simba, Mufasa, Nala, Timon and Pumbaa are back. Better than EVAR in a two-disc Diamond Edition Blu-ray Combo pack. Ahhh. Memories. I remember singing Sing Along Songs from “The Lion King” in music class. I remember receiving “The Lion King” VHS for Christmas. I was so excited about this movie! I had Lion King shirts, coloring books, and toys! I still have the video game for Sega somewhere around here. ... CONTINUE READING THIS POST →

Up Close and Personal with My Teeth

October 3, 2011 · Defining Me · 3 comments

Today, I’m letting y’all get up close and personal. With my teeth. Quite often, I am complimented on my smile and I LOVE that, so please keep doing it, thanks :). Inside my mouth, I do have a few offenses, besides the numerous fillings from childhood, that I am looking to correct. I have an overbite and some crowding. Exhibit A (Awkward!) Not bad, but I want them fixed stat. I’m not self conscious about my teeth, I am just a teeth girl. I love seeing people with great teeth. I know how hard it is sometimes to maintain perfection, ... On His Way To Pre-school

September 20, 2011 · Parenting · 1 comment

I never went to pre-school because the school put priority on the children who they thought “needed” it. Weird right? I don’t know what that was all about, but I know that times have changed and I know there are many benefits to attending pre-school even if the child is brilliant. Surviving the real world takes a little more than just being a kid genius. So… we’re currently planning on enrolling Jayden in pre-school early next year. We decided to keep him home during the first semester to clear up his Eczema and work on his diet. Eczema is such ... CONTINUE READING THIS POST →

My Maybelline Silver Diva Runway Makeup Look

September 18, 2011 · Beauty · 7 comments

001_1

One of the things on my life list is to improve my eye makeup techniques. I am a bare faced diva by nature, but I do like adding a natural foundation for a more polished look and a little color to dress up my beady brown eyes. Just a little makeup goes a long way and when I wear it, I look more like a woman and less like a child. Someday I’m sure I’ll want to have that childhood glow back, but now I’m trying to get my grown and sexy on *puckers mouth and bats eyelashes*. Earlier this ... CONTINUE READING THIS POST →

Tell us about your “Nice Save” (money saving tip)!

September 16, 2011 · Life & Quirks · leave a comment

Nice Save is a new application tab on Walmart’s Facebook page that represents Walmart’s commitment to Every Day Low Prices. Each month, Walmart helps its consumers solve a new challenge by connecting them with a community of Facebook fans that have tried-and-true money saving tips. The challenges are each dedicated to a different seasonal theme (the first one is Game Time), and users are asked to submit their solutions within a specific, affordable price point (i.e. Game Day under $50). Some of us Walmart Moms will be hosts of each challenge and Tara of Deal Seeking Mom is up first ... CONTINUE READING THIS POST →
