All the cool kids drink from Tommee Tippee Explora Sippy Cups.

Tommee Tippee Explora

It’s been ages since we bought new sippy cups. We’ve just dealt with the ones we have. Some would leak if we didn’t screw the lids on properly and some were such a chore to clean. Jayden is almost two and it’s time his sippy cups reflect that. And I wouldn’t complain if they were a little easier for us parents to maintain. My friend Jen, introduced me to Tommee Tippee Explora Sippy Cups. She’s a sippy cup snob, so if she raves about them, then they must be pretty darn good. Tommee Tippee shared the wealth with me when ...

Wahmart

Remember the Boogology Jaydenisms? I’ll wait. One of the words on that list was “Wahmart” and it has turned into the next best thing that has graced little man’s mouth since “Dat Natny.” It all started on a random day. A Walmart commercial had come on. You know how all of the Walmart commercials end with “Save money. Live better. Walmart.” and then the logo flashes across the screen? Well, Jayden picked that up and repeated “Wahmart”. Of course we thought that was all sorts of mushy gushy cute. Fast forward to a few days later. We had muted the ...

Young And Pregnant. Let The Rudeness Begin.

February 21, 2010 · Parenting · 27 comments

Note: I’m not pregnant, sorry for the confusion! This post is about the pregnancy with our 22 month old. Seeing those two pink lines instantly appear on the two pregnancy tests I took? Best thing ever. Calling Greg up while he was in class (college) taking a test? Best thing ever. But when Greg and I announced our pregnancy with Jayden, we got some pretty rude comments. The general rule for replying to a pregnancy announcement is saying “Congratulations” or expressing some sort of happiness, no ifs, ands, or buts. These people obviously didn’t get the memo. Greg: Sheena’s pregnant! ...

Growth Spurt Alert

My Big Silly Boy

Those of you who have been following me at my old blog know how concerned I was with Jayden’s weight. Once we introduced him to solids and he stopped nursing as much, his weight began to flatline. I’d dread going in for his well visits because he was not gaining weight. Being told that he is on the lower end of the charts for his weight (although he looked perfectly fine) got quite annoying. I know those charts are full of it, but growing up skinny (and feeling like a total runt amongst peers and other family members) has made ...

Transitioning From Co-sleeping

January 28, 2010 · Parenting · 9 comments

Baby Boogz & Dad

It’s been 21 months of snuggles and convenient nights of sleep. However, somewhere down the line, in the last few months or so, co-sleeping has become less enjoyable. It’s been 3 months since Jayden decided to wean from “Mama Nom Noms” (breastfeeding). And after being punched and head butt one time too many, I decided the time has come. The time for us to discontinue co-sleeping. The time for Jayden Elijah to start sleeping in his own bed, in his own room. The time for Greg and I to comfortably sleep together in the same bed. To enjoy each other ...

34 Weeks

March 27, 2008 · Parenting · leave a comment

As of today I am 34 weeks preggo! I really have to get some exercise, going to and from the kitchen just isn’t enough, lol. It’s starting to get warm out so now I can take walks with Daddy. Yesterday we went to the mall, so that was something. I managed to somehow rip my jeans at the crotch while at the mall or coming home. The jeans in particular were a pair that were a tad too loose pre-pregnancy and I’m now nearly busting out of them. I guess I learned my lesson from that rip! Don’t wear anything ...
