After an extremely long and draining winter, I am on a mission to get beautified. That means you’ll be seeing a lot more beauty and health posts here… to hold myself accountable. It’s been a while since I’ve whitened my teeth so when given the opportunity to try Colgate’s new Optic White products, I happily obliged. I received a package containing the Optic White Mouthwash, Toothpaste, and Toothbrush + Whitening Pen. Colgate is our toothpaste of choice (for the adults) and we’re no strangers to their toothbrushes.
What I dig about the new Optic White products is that it simplfies teeth whitening. It’s hard enough for me to designate time to pamper myself, let alone whiten my teeth. #aintnobodygottimeforthat With Colgate Optic White, I can get my whitening treatment during my daily brushing routine. The Colgate Optic White Toothbrush + Built-in Whitening Pen provides effective and convenient whitening at an affordable price. For $12.96, Colgate offers their notable 360° Toothbrush with a removable gel whitening pen. Simply brush with your favorite toothpaste (I use Colgate Optic White) and apply the gel. There’s no need to rinse or wait to eat or drink after applying the gel. Awesome, right? Brush. Whiten. Go.
The Optic White Toothpaste ($3.96 for 5oz) contains the same high-impact whitening formula found in traditional whitening strips. If used as directed, the Optic White Toothpaste promises to deliver whiter teeth in a week. After using the Optic White toothpaste, my teeth feel noticeably clean… along the lines of squeaky.
The Optic White Mouthwash ($6.96 for 32oz) also aids in whitening and protection against future stains using Whiteseal technology. I have to say that I’m not fond of the bitter aftertaste that it leaves behind. With most whitening products there’s a peroxide aftertaste, which I don’t mind, but there’s a tartness about this mouthwash that I cannot ignore. It’s one of those things that I’ll deal with for the sake of having whiter teeth, though.
I definitely see myself purchasing Colgate’s Optic White Toothpaste again. I’m looking forward to seeing my teeth continue to brighten a few shades lighter. You can find these products along with a few extras such as Wisps and brush heads at Walmart.
Oh, I almost forgot. Colgate is sponsoring a style makeover contest, for the chance to win a trip to Los Angeles and makeover with Jeannie Mai, or one of hundreds of first and second prizes (Walmart gift cards and Colgate Optic White products). All entries will receive a $3 product coupon. Enter now through April 19, 2014 at www.OpticWhiteStyle.com.
