We all start the new year with a variety of goals. One of the top goals is always to exercise. I started 2012 with intentions of exercising more and I put that goal right out on the curb when I found out that I was pregnant with Jaxon. Although, light exercise is encouraged while pregnant, I wasn’t having it. Going up and down the stairs all day long proved to be enough for me and when it became too uncomfortable, Greg was there to retrieve anything I needed.
Fast forward to now, I am no longer carrying a baby and I am ready to finally have some sort of workout routine. I’m not sure what exercises I’d like to do. Something that will strengthen my back, tone and bulk me up just a little bit, and get rid of my pregnancy pouch. Yeah, you can’t see it because I’m sucking it in and doing the classic shirt stretch pose, lol.
Most importantly, I just want to be more agile, physically and mentally. Greg and I have been talking about doing P90x together and although it sounds like a bit much, I wouldn’t mind. I’m sure completing the program would do wonders for my ego. I am consistently inconsistent and for once, I’d like to finish something I’ve started. In the meantime, I’ll be firing up the Wii and Xbox to enjoy my fitness, dance, and yoga games until we settle on a workout routine.
To make myself feel official, I picked up some Danskin Now activewear from Walmart. Going in, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I usually shop the juniors section at Walmart because the ladies clothes are awkwardly shaped. Well, the activewear was in the ladies section so you could imagine my discomfort as I moseyed on over to shop their selection. To my surprise, they had my size… and they were true. I wasn’t sure if everything would fit, but when I tried them on at home, they did.
My Danskin Now Finds
Red Tank – $3.96
Grey Tank – $3.96
Purple Tee – $4.96
Grey Bootcut Pants – $12.00
Black Capri’s – $9.00 Clearance
Total = $33.88
I love how stretchy and light these pieces feel. I want to pick up some of the tanks with built in bras and more pants. They are so comfy and affordable. So maybe a little activewear is just what I need to get moving. And if not, hey they make great loungewear :-).
Did buying activewear help you get into a fitness routine?
