We are often taught the message that blood is thicker than water, but oftentimes family is where we least expect it. I know that I am personally more connected with people who aren’t in my bloodline than those who are. No shade to my blood, but it’s just how it is.
In the the story, Annie, we are immersed in a heartfelt tale of a spunky young girl on a quest to find a family of her own. After being in the foster care system since infant-hood, Annie is determined to find her real parents. During one of her daily adventures through the streets of New York, she is unexpectedly united with tycoon and New York mayoral candidate who needed her just as much as she needed him.
Annie is the perfect movie to view together as family. The film is a modern day retelling of Annie with the same loveable characters and themes with a current twist. We had the opportunity to view Annie at home with the boys. They immediately were captivated by the fresh musical classic. Jayden was head of narration and Jax was head of dance moves. I think they’re ready for some stage performances.
Annie teaches a story of perseverance, delivering a dose of reality light enough for children to understand, engage in, and learn from. Annie’s character sets a great example as she faces the odds, always with a radiant smile. Annie has successfully entertained families for generations. It’s hard not to fall in love with the infectious story and spunky characters. The 2014 release is just what we’ve needed to keep the torch going!
Annie will be available in Digital HD format on March 10, 2015, and Blu-ray Combo Pack on March 17, 2015. Visit Annie-Movie.com for more info and all things Annie related.
