As a mother (aka busy woman on-the-go), I know how hard it is sometimes to stay on top of a beauty routine. I mean I don’t sweat the small stuff. My hair is pretty low maintenance and I’m pretty lax when it comes to re-twisting. I’ll often go every other wash without doing so. But I’ve been trying to make an extra effort to try something new whether it’s a new headband, headwrap, or hat. Whenever I leave the house, I try to put a little foundation on, just to appear as if I care, because I do. And I at least make sure my toes are done every two weeks. Keeping my nails done is a challenge since my hands are always cooking or cleaning and my face and neck area are sensitive to nail polish, but I make do.
I absolutely love doing my nails and sharing them beyond Facebook and Twitter, so I decided to give myself an excuse to post random photos of my mani’s and pedi’s by creating a biweekly meme; Nails to the Yeah! Say it with me now. Nails to the Yeah! Hopefully it will encourage us all to pay a little more attention to our hands and feet and the photos shared will serve as some fun inspiration!
So this week, my nails looked like this (and I didn’t break out into hives!). They (my nails) started to crack in just 3 days though. Pfft. I started with Zoya Loredana (Matte), and in and attempt to do this, I failed and ended up going over the matte in Wet N Wild Black Crème. Then, I topped with a coat of Sinful Colors Frenzy.
Today, I picked up Sally Hansen’s Fractured Foil (Crackle), so maybe I’ll feature it next w… um November 4th. Oh boy, a biweekly meme is going to get confusing, but I figured it’ll give everyone enough time to pretty up in between time. I know how hectic things get especially with the holidays right around the corner – yikes!
So grab the button if you’d like, and link up your most recent mani’s and pedi’s! You don’t have to have a blog to play, Twitpics and Instagrams are welcomed. Just link to the page where the photo(s) reside. I’m not going to demand links back to the meme, but if you have the means to do so, I’d appreciate it! And if you haven’t gotten yo nails did, go handle that!
