Lipstick and nail polish are my absolute weaknesses when it comes to beauty products. Since I am a bit of a hippie, I do have my favorite natural beauty brands. I only buy two brands of polish because I am very allergic to the ingredients that are still in conventional brands. I’m talking meeting with three doctors and having to take steroids internally and topically. Yeah, it was pretty bad, y’all.
When it comes to lipstick, I’ve worn a variety of brands, but I feel like I need to do better. Since I only wear lipstick on outings and celebrations, I do practice the moderation rule. So if the lippie is poppin’, I will still grab it.
But then, Burt’s Bees, one of my go-to brands decided to come out with an ENTIRE line of satin-finish lipsticks. Imagine my excitement when I caught wind of this. I swear, it’s the simple things. I ordered two shades from Target which turned out to be very similar, but I looove them. I chose Tulip Tide, which is a pretty muave and Iced Iris, which is a candy pink. These are both very natural colors that are similar to the color of my lips. I like to keep it natural most of the time, so these will be used up in no time especially since they are moisturizing.
For me, moisturized lips are a MUST. I’ve been a compulsive lip-glosser since I was a little girl and not having something to constantly put on my lips was and still is something to panic over. Burt’s Bees lipsticks hydrate and moisturize dry lips up to 8 hours. Whenever I wear lipstick, I moisturize my lips first so I love that the Burt’s Bees creamy lipsticks are like having a 2-n-1.
Burt’s Bees lipsticks are 100% natural and contain ingredients like Moringa, Raspberry Seed Oil, Beeswax, and Vitamin E that work together to help soften, condition, and improve skin elasticity. Burt’s Bees offers 14 full coverage shades of these fabulous new lipsticks which are Available at Target. Treat yourselves!
