Owning My Mother’s Day + Botanical Gifts From Thymes

Thanks to Thymes for sponsoring today’s post and the unique opportunity to share the gift of fragrance.

Mother’s Day will be here soon enough and I am feeling pretty good about it. I will be celebrating seven years of motherhood and well, it seems that change usually happens around that seven year itch. For me, that means a lot of changes which involve minimalism and ridding my life of things and situations that no longer/never have served me. This year, I decided to take control and focus on how I want to feel. And that means dedicating this time to doing what I want to do.

This year, our little family will be hitting the road for a much needed vacation that will extend over Mother’s Day weekend. I will spend that time being present in the moment instead of avoiding social media feeds full of things that I wish I were doing. A life lesson I’ve learned is that  if you want something specific, sometimes you have to make it happen instead of just expecting it to. If you want it, go get it. If you want things to change, change them. So for those of you mamas and givers who are hoping and wishing this Mother’s Day, treat yoself! You are responsible for your well-being and happiness. After all, if mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy.

While I’ll take experiences over things any day, I do appreciate gifts that allow me to pamper myself. Those never EVER get old. I never pass up the opportunity to power up and focus on the woman who happens to be a mama. Whether you are treating yourself or a loved one, Thymes botanical fragrances make wonderful, well-thought-out gifts. Thymes isn’t your ordinary fragrance shop. Thymes was started by two friends with a common desire to make something meaningful and beautiful.

Thymes products are skin-compatible, environmentally friendly, effective and a pleasure to use. The makers at Thymes opt for natural, high-quality, plant-based ingredients and health-enhancing nutrients instead of chemical ingredients whenever possible. I am a sucker for anything nature based and sustainable. So I am here for Thymes.

I had the opportunity to choose a few things from Thymes and boy did I have a hard time choosing! They have so many collections to shop from, it was hard to narrow down my list. Just know that I will be back because everything that I received smells divine! The products that I chose remind me of the toiletry products that you swipe from super fancy hotels – don’t act like you haven’t done it! LOL! Thymes is serving up serious luxuriousness.

My Product Picks

Lavender Cologne – I wanted to add a new everyday fragrance to my collection and the lavender scent adds a perfect layer of freshness right out of the shower.

Kimono Rose Petite Lotion and Rollerball Set – I was looking for a fragrance set to keep in my purse. It’s light, sweet, and youthful.

Jade Matcha Petite Lotion – I can never have enough goodies for my purse, so I grabbed this lil’ lotion. It’s fresh and sweet. Totally digging it.

Lotus Santal Hand Cream – I have some pretty busy hands, so it’s important to keep them moisturized. I wanted a hand cream to keep my hands looking soft and dainty. I opted for the Lotus Santal scent since I love the sweet smell of sandalwood.

Lotus Santal Home Mist – Since I love sandalwood, I grabbed this mist for a sweet smelling home.
