Operation Christmas Child: Compassion in a Shoe Box

Each holiday season, we shop for toys and food to donate to children and families in need. These acts of kindness are what teaches Jayden about sharing and having compassion for his “friends”. This year, I wanted to rev up our giving. I had heard about Operation Christmas Child, but I wasn’t sure exactly how it worked. After doing some research, I was quickly planning to pack a shoe box to be sent to a tween girl overseas.

What made packing the box even more exciting is that everything we packed inside were items we already had around the house… brand spanking new and forgotten about. It goes to show how you can turn your excess into a gift that will tremendously help someone!

In Our Box

Sequin Purse, Headbands, Hair Brush, Necklaces & Bracelet, Floss & Toothbrush, Fabric Markers, Sunglasses, Mini Stapler, Note Pads, Gel Pens

How You Can Help

There are so many ways to contribute to Operation Christmas Child. You can pack your own box to be dropped of at your nearest drop off location. There are also options to build a box online, have the OCC staff pack and send a box of gifts on your behalf, or adopt a box which covers shipping costs for people who can donate boxes, but can’t swing the shipping fee. This holiday season build a box with your family to teach kindness, compassion, and generosity.

Operation Christmas Child and influencer marketing platform BlogFrog have teamed up with 200 bloggers like me to spread the word about this great cause. BlogFrog will match the first 200 boxes that are built. Pledge your commitment below to build a box today on Facebook or Twitter!

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Operation Christmas Child. The opinions and text are all mine. I was not compensated to write this post, I just wanted to share this wonderful cause.
