Cool, Calm & Connected With T-Mobile’s Free Data Plan

These days are a little more connected now that I have a T-Mobile free data plan and Trio AXS tablet. This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone.

Lately I’ve found it sooo hard to get work done during the day with two boys at home. It seems like every time I sit down… either Jax is upset because he can’t have one of Jayden’s toys or he’s crawling all over me or just…both. Because of this, I’ve reserved laptop usage to the occasional nap and bed time. Being cooped up in the house has been part of the problem. When they’re free to roam outside, they have the time of their lives. Since we don’t have a fenced in yard, we rely on parks and beaches where they can play without too much policing. But what do you do when you need the kids to get some fresh air in order for you to get some work done… and there’s… no… WiFi?

Insert T-Mobile’s connected tablets with… wait for it… free data for life.

*cue heavenly music*

Yes. T-Mobile is offering 200mb of free data per month with the purchase of one of their tablets at Walmart. Great thing about this deal is there’s no contract or overage charges. Buy one of their specially marked tablets and connect. No strings attached. If you need more data, you can buy a short-term pass or choose from one of the monthly paid plans.

I had the opportunity to shop for the T-Mobile Trio AXS 7.85” 4G Tablet (tablets marked 3G are compatible with the 4G network). I headed over to the electronics department and set my eye on the prize. I waved down a cashier to grab one out of the cabinet and proceeded to purchase my new toy. And I couldn’t pass up this dainty new case. It was the last one in this color. The box was a little worn, but I bought it anyway, because who needs the box? This case is fabulous.

We now interrupt this post for a quick beauty break!

So yeah. I had to like paint my nails to match my tablet case. Because.

Next stop was the park so the boys could play and so I could catch up on emails and grab some recipe inspiration. School will be starting soon, so I need to get my butt on the menu planning wagon.

The T-Mobile Trio AXS is a neat little tablet for the $179 price point. It’s loaded with Android – my favorite OS, oh yes. It’s also very responsive and the resolution is great. It has a front and back camera, which is a nice bonus. I downloaded a few of my favorite apps; Instagram (more so for browsing and liking), Pinterest (because my life revolves around it), Kindle (gotta catch up on my recipe and self-help books), WordPress (bloggers be bloggin’), and Wunderlist (hoping it helps me stay organized this school year). If I find myself needing to crank out some serious paragraphs, I can connect the T-Mobile Trio AXS to my bluetooth keyboard… as soon as I fix the broken keys (thanks, #juicyjax!). He can’t have nice things and apparently Mommy can’t either.

But I digress.

I’m loving my new tablet and dainty lil’ case. And now I can be more productive in places that lack Wi-Fi. Here’s to a cool, calm, and connected school year.

I think you need to make a Walmart run. ;-) I'm still swooning over my new cover.
