Goals. Bucket. Whatever. List.

Greg and I are all into setting goals now matter how big, small, or silly they may seem. So I thought I’d publicize some of the things I’d love to do in my lifetime. This list will continue to grow and I will cross items off as I complete them. What are some of your goals?

  • Get braces. Perfect teeth are sexy.
  • Own a vacation home in another country. May settle for a warm state instead.
  • Have 3+ kids.
  • Tattoo one of my fingers.
  • Get my nose pierced.
  • Dye my hair purple. Still trying to figure out how to naturally do this.
  • Buy a guitar. Learn how to play.
  • Go to a hip hop or r&b concert.
  • Own a home. A home with character. With a wrap around porch. This should probably be #2.
  • Get my right ear lobe stitched and re-pierced. It split when I was a little girl.
  • Have 6 pack abs. I guess I should start on this after I have the 3+ kids.
  • Host small workshops for something I love.
  • Learn how to skateboard.
  • Take Taekwondo or Mixed Martial Arts.
  • Run races.
  • Run naked on a beach – at night, lol.
  • Finish decorating our home. This branches off in to many bullet points.
  • Buy new sofas.
  • Post here every 2-3 days.
  • Birth my future children in water.
  • Experience my next pregnancy without knowing the gender.
  • Live in a loft in NYC.
  • Learn some fancy schmancy makeup techniques.
  • Learn how to belly dance. Ouch.
  • Tattoo the back of my neck.
  • Learn carpentry skills.
  • Adopt a bengal cat.
  • Adopt a dwarf pony.
  • Read the rest of my goals ( here ).

This is a really good idea. I have never thought about posting a bucket list on my website (it would keep me accountable if other people knew my wishes). You have a lot of things on your list that I want to accomplish by the time "I kick the bucket." (I totally had to look up bucket list and what the heck the bucket part had to do with it. Now I feel a little slow. ;) )

I too want to: - get a tattoo on my finger - go to an r&b concert - own a home with character (I LOVE older homes) - host small worshops for something I love (which could be replaced with organize my own mini conference or girlfriend's retreat for bloggers I have met online. Actually, I'm workin gon the girlfriend's retreat now.) - tatto the back of my neck

So, if you don't mind, I think I will borrow this post idea and post my bucket list on my blog this week.

Take care, Shynea

Fine, I'm a smidge late on this post, but I love the list! We share quite a few must-do-before-I-get-old items: #Becauseyoucare, they are #s: 2, 5 (this would be my 3rd time piercing it), 14 (I took shotokan and hapkido for a couple of years, but I'm a UFC fan and want to learn Brazilian jiu jitsu), 16, 23, and 29. Here's to updating the list with several cross-offs and a few new items :)

I wonder what will come first, the pony, the cat or the kid?

You should check if Lush has something that would work. They've got henna based blues and reds though I have no idea how well they work...

@Lori Z., I'm thinking kid, cat, then pony.

I want something more permanent. I've used henna before, but since my hair is dark, you could barely see it. I just want to get around having to lighten my hair with bleach products. I've read sun, lemon juice, and peroxide all do this, but I doubt if it makes it light enough. Blah, lol.

I love this post. I have *way* too many goals, and should probably pare my list down. But, here are a few:

1. Buy a house, in a "better" neighborhood. 2. Pay off all our debt/become debt-free. 3. Take an entire summer, and travel around Europe.

I think I'm going to post something like this, on my blog. I really like how "informal" it is. I tried to do the 101 things, in 1001 days challenge, and it didn't work out well, for me.

I loved that you said you want to dye your hair purple. I had purple highlights but that didn't last long. lol Here is my list:

1. Buy a house is Jamaica 2. Travel the world 3. Buy a Audi TT 4. Get over my fear of cruise ships (Damn Titanic!) 5. Take belly dancing lessons

Well that's it for now. :-)
