A Pop Secret Movie “Noon” Giveaway! #popcameraaction

And the winner is… chris burd! Congrats!

I am excited to share that I have partnered with Mom Spark Media and Pop Secret in the Pop! Camera! Action! campaign that is centered around the Academy Awards, movies, great prizes, and of course… popcorn!

As a Pop Secret Mom, I had the opportunity to plan a movie night of my own with lots of snacks and Pop Secret popcorn! So last weekend Greg and I had plans on sneaking in a movie night after putting Jayden to bed. Things didn’t go as planned, but we managed to have some time during naptime. So our movie date night turned into a date “noon” so to speak.

We started our movie night by gathering the many snacks we had purchased in preparation for this “noon”. We popped our popcorn and popped Just Wright into the Xbox. While the movie was oh so cliché and cheesy at times, it was bearable to watch. Common’s short self slam dunking? Unreal. He should stick to writing lyrics, lol. We probably did more critiquing throughout the movie than we wanted, but the snacks made up for it!

I always do a special dinner with movie night. For example I get single serving pizza crusts and put all the fixins on the table so everyone can make thier own pizza. This is a big hit with everyone.

My idea of a perfect movie night would be laying on the couch with my beautiful woman, maybe a cold Bud Light, definetly a scary movie like The Shining playing. It’d have to be nice and dark and quiet. Throw a few extra pillows down for comfort and forget about my troubles.

We make homemade pizza or chili that way it’s a easy dinner and little clean up.

Then we pop popcorn and buy candy from the dollar store and change into our pajamas for a movie night.

Some ideas for a perfect movie night: First have two movie nights – one for family and one for the grown-ups. Then everyone can be happy! For snacks, some ideas are: trail mix made with popcorn, popcorn balls, nachos, and milkshakes.

Sometimes for family night we heap white corn nachos with black beans, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, jalepeno peppers, pepperoni, banana pepper slices, and onions and put them in the oven. When they come out we top it with lettuce and chopped and chilled tomatoes, and we serve salsa and sour cream on the side. We put the dish on the living room table and gather around with our little dishes. We eat dinner and watch a movie. It’s always kind of cool!

I think the best thing to do is to make sure it is a movie that everyone enjoys! Make sure you get blankets, napkins, drinks and snacks so that you don’t have to get up and miss anything. I also think it’s a good idea to get 2 movies in case one sucks!

“The Princess Bride” is my pick for a movie night. It has some great quotes. “Inconceivable”, “As you wish”, and “Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.”
My snack choice would be my favorite popcorn: Pop Secret Homestyle.

I won a year’s subscription to Netflix and loved it so much that we joined. It is SO nice to have the family sit down on a Friday night and pick out something we want to see. The movies I’d watch with my daughter aren’t the ones I’d watch by myself, and neither one of them are ones I’d watch with my son, but we manage to find comedies that everybody will enjoy. I make pizza every Friday night, and then we turn off the phone and the lights and sit down to enjoy a movie with lots of popcorn .

We usually will pick Disney movies (my favorite still is Sorcerer’s apprentice… just gotta love Nicholas Cage!) and I will buy a small spread of munchies, sometimes is breakfast for dinner, sometimes it junk food night. My kids get to pick! By the way, once it was steak and lobster if you can believe my little munchkins!

I like a lot of older movies, meaning the ’30s to the ’80s. On a cold day, a fun romantic comedy like Hitchcock’s “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” or Cary Grant in “His Girl Friday” along with a cup of cocoa and some popcorn makes for a perfect afternoon.

When we are having movie night with our children we fix something fun for dinner such as tacos, make cookies or brownies, pop popcorn and make root beer floats. THen it’s time to snuggle up and watch a new family movie or two.

If it’s movie night for me and my husband we fix a romantic dinner such as steak or seafood, Make chocolate dipped strawberries or fondue, open a bottle of wine and snuggle in front of the fire to watch a movie that we bought for the night.

We always have our Pop Secret on hand for movie night. We like to mix in candy, like m&m’s or reeces pieces. Sometimes if we forget the hardshell candy, we’ll mix in either chocoate or white chocolate nestle baking chips. They taste so good melted over the hot popcorn. We love to watch anything by Disney, but Shrek is also a family favorite!

Originally from Chicago, I couldn’t imagine a ‘perfect’ movie night without deep-dish pizza (yum! yum! yummy!) and a bucket of Garrett’s CaramelCrisp & CheeseCorn popcorn! Each Friday is ‘Family Movie Night’ at our house and each week a different family member picks their ‘favorite’ movie for the family to watch!
‘Family Movie Night’ is a great way to enjoy the latest dvd releases and spend quality time with my family!
Thanks for the great giveaway offering!
    Good Luck to ALL!

We have a movie night every weekend – The kids are on a 3D kick, so that’s what we’ve been watching lately. We get some popcorn, occasionally candy, juice, switch off all the lights and crowd on the couch with our 3D glasses and snuggies. Simple, but fun, and we look forward to it each week!

Thanks so much for the chance to win this!

My advice for a movie night is to have fun. Do what you want since this is your night. There are no rules. If you want to see a double feature (one comedy, one horror), go for it.

One idea for a great movie night would be to watch three classic films about dogs (since we’re all huge dog lovers), like “Lassie,” “Marlie and Me,” and “Hachi: A Dog’s Tale” and to fill the coffee table with bowls of our favorite snacks, like kettle corn, pretzel M&Ms, Red Vines licorice, and tons of juice and soda. Thanks for the chance to enter!

A “double-feature” is always fun- two movies starring the same actor or actress. Lots of popcorn and some sweet candies to make you crave even more popcorn…lol.

I love watching movies in bed. It’s a huge treat for me b/c I don’t have a tv in my bedroom. So when I’m at my sisters, I’ll watch a kids movie with my nieces and nephews. All of us get our own bowl of popcorn.

We love to do popcorn night. I’ll make up a bunch of different flavors of popcorn. I’ll make butter. I’ll make one that’s coated in vanilla candy coating. One tossed with taco seasoning. Our favorite is one that’s mixed with Parmesan (the kind you sprinkle on spaghetti), garlic powder, and Italian Seasoning. My husband will usually make hime Kettle corn or carmel corn, too.

We like to make a mess for movie night (within reason). Like they used to do with the Ricky Horror Picture Show except more family friendly movies. Like wedding we can throw a little rice or confetti and stuff like that. It’s a lot of fun!

I recently discovered that icecream brands have $1 single serving sizes of their icecream. This goes great with any movie and feels alot healthier than the pint size packages (you have to make yourself stop before you finish it!)

I just watched the movie RED on bluray at home and thought it was awesome.

I tried to have a perfect movie night Sunday by watching “THE A-TEAM” re-make and “THE LOSERS” back to back, making an action movie night, but everyone kept calling and interrupting, then I fell asleep during THE A TEAM, and didn’t have timeto watch THE LOSERS. We had chips & snacks, though, which is always important.

I love getting friends and family together and having a themed movie night with themed snacks (decorated cupcakes, various snacks that tie back to the film, etc.) – it’s not something that you can do all the time, but it sure is a blast! The last one we did was the Wizard of Oz. Fun, fun, fun! Thanks for the chance! :)

My husband thinks the perfect movie night is putting the mattress down on the living room floor in front of the tv and propping himself up on pillows and eating whatever snacks are handy and falling asleep there and staying till noon. That isn’t as bad as it sounds as long as the movies are good and he doesn’t hog the pillows :p

My perfect movie night would include Disney’s Up and Tangled (when it comes out on DVD).
Snacks woud be popcorn, juice or pop and chips and salsa. If it’s cold outsde, a fire in the fireplace is nice, too.

The perfect movie night? It should be at my favorite local cinema, with my beloved husband, we should be watching a meaningful, intelligent, engrossing movie such as Quo Vadis. As for the snacks, I would prefer cracker-summer sausage sandwiches. Thank you for hosting this giveaway.

I have only one grandaughter and her and I spend time together, once a week we have movie time, she usually gets to pick out the movie, I make the popcorn, then she makes her own little movie time cups or boxes to put the popcorn in. We then turn all lights off except our Scentsy warmer unit which gives it the movie theatre look. I enjoy her so much. Thanks for the giveaway

Our movie nights are a big deal since we don’t do them very often–but our last one included PopSecret popcorn, which really is my favorite microwave popcorn, and My Life in Ruins. Truthfully we rented it for the scenery of Greece–foreign countries are a plus.

My favorite movie rituals include a great scary movie (the original Halloween is on the list), some salty tortilla chips and homemade queso….and sweet tea, I have to have that…

Popcorn is definitely a must for movie nights, along with some cola. I like dramas and suspense movies best. I also like scary movies, but it’s hard to find one that is genuinely scary.

The perfect movie night for me would be a large bowl of heavily buttered popcorn, cheese and crackers, and a large cup of either hot chocolate or tea. The movie I’d watch would be Sleepless in Seattle.

We love to have pizza and popcorn for our movie nights! Since our movie nights include kids in a range of 7-16 we pick something G (or PG depending on what it is) to watch. One of our current favorites is Despicable Me.

Years ago we used to gather friends together and have Siskel and Ebert nights. We would rent a movie from a given genre and after watching it with friends would review it. Of course we had plenty of snacks and drinks that were brought by our guest. It was so much fun. Think we may need to start something like this again.
