I’ve been wanting to get into couponing for a while, but the whole concept caused me to shut down and give up before even trying. Because the ADHD struggle. But in order to get ahead I’ve decided that couponing (besides the usual coupon codes and rebate systems) is something that I MUST DO.
One gripe that I’ve had with couponing was having to check every single store for the cheapest price per item and present their ads to a cashier for price matching. It’s just too much work and interaction for my liking. Plus, we often have unplanned trips to the store where we don’t have time to prepare coupons or take advantage of special prices. “Oh no, we’re out of bacon! What? There’s no butter! I have to have this recipe submitted like yesterday!” Yea, it happens all.of.the.time.
Well, Walmart has eliminated my need to find items to price match with their new Savings Catcher Tool! I’ve had the opportunity to give it a test run and I am really excited to add it to my money saving repertoire. Savings Catcher, available for use August 4th, is an online tool where consumers can enter or scan their Walmart receipts for additional savings. Simply log on to the Savings Catcher website, enter or scan your receipt and the tool will search local competitor ads for identical products from your purchase. If the tool is able to find a lower advertised price, you get the difference on an eGift card. Score! And in the event that Walmart may have missed a deal, you can submit it for review.
During my first Savings Catcher experience, I earned $2.63! Hey, it’s not a lot, but those dollars add up pretty quickly! We do a lot of our shopping at Walmart, so we’ll have plenty of receipts to compare.
Savings Catcher is definitely a game changer, making it easier for people with busy lifestyles to save even more money when they shop at Walmart. Are you as excited about Savings Catcher as I am? How will Savings Catcher come in handy during your money-saving adventures?
