Water Bottle & Sock Bubble Blower Craft

003_1

Today, I decided to do a spin on a bubble blower craft you’ve probably seen around. Instead of cutting a portion of a sock and attaching it to the bottom of the water bottle with a large rubber band (which I didn’t have), I just used the entire sock and secured it with pipe cleaners, which I curled for some flair.

In this craft, you won’t have to destroy any socks or fabric (if you don’t want to) and depending on the sock design paired with matching pipe cleaners, you’ll have a super fun, handmade goodie to entertain the kids during the everyday or at a party!

Materials

Water Bottle
Ankle or Dress Sock (up to size 8 should be perfect)
4 or more Pipe Cleaners

Instructions

Cut about an inch off the bottom of the water bottle.

Starting from the bottom of the water bottle, slide the sock up to the drinking hole.

Secure sock around the bottom of the drinking hole with a pipe cleaner (or a rubber band first). Trim excess sock if it interferes with the hole.

Tie additional pipe cleaners around drinking hole and twist them around your finger to add some fun curls.

Mix 2 parts dish soap, 1 part water in a bowl and dip the bottom of the bubble blower into the soap mixture.

Shake off excess water and blow some bubbles!
