Hey Kilah, Keep Playin’ That Song

IMG_7828

This post is sponsored by Fisher-Price. Thanks for supporting the brands that we believe in!

At eight months old, baby Akilah is ready to have some fun. Gone are the days of being content laying around staring at a mobile. She has voiced a need for more advanced activities and play-things. Though she still loves luxuriating in her cradle swing and catching a twirl from her mobiles here and there, she’s ready to get up, stand up on those dainty feet.

Through our partnership with Fisher-Price, we were able to play with some of their newest baby gear. Since Miss Honey’s toy collection is very minimal (how Mama likes it), we went all out and chose the 4-in-1 Step ‘n Play Piano for our growing princess.

This activity center is all sorts of awesome. I mean, look at it. It’s so vibrantly happy with an extra side of my absolute favorite color, turquoise. And that bawdy. Look at those modern curves. Sweet right? I’m in the process of talking my friend, Brittany, into grabbing one for her bub. You know how it is. Blog friends are all about that twinsies life.

Like most baby activity centers, the 4-in-1 Step ‘n Play Piano is quite large, but we made room for it during our recent spring cleaning. The Play Piano was very easy to put together and to think I let it sit in the box for a few days to mentally prepare for assembly. When I took the pieces out of the box, I felt a little silly for stalling! I had Akilah’s center snapped together in ten minutes!

Put your pinkies in the air and wave them like you just don’t care!

Akilah has been getting her entire life in her new activity center. She’s been eager to learn her way around her new studio equipment; DJing for us every morning. Maneuvering around in her seat is somewhat of a curve, but she sure does know how to bang on those piano keys and rattle all the other instruments! The 4-in-1 Step ‘n Play Piano has three music modes; short-play, long-play, and baby makes the music. There are also three songs to encourage early learning. So Akilah can be her own DJ with her hands and feet or let her jams play continuously.

The 4-in-1 Step ‘n Play Piano has four different play modes and can be used through toddlerhood! I love items that are versatile and grow with my kiddos. The soft piano floor is removable and can be used as a play mat for tummy time or lay & play alongside the removable musical turntable. Entertainer mode is what we’re currently using fully assembled with spinning seat for all-around play. It also acts as a stationary walker which encourages first steps. The seat is removable which allows toddlers to use as an activity table.

Mic check, one two, one two!

The 4-in-1 Step ‘n Play Piano has been a real hit in our house. Baby Akilah has been thoroughly entertained and tickled, even. Her big brothers are always trying to get studio time in on the ones and twos. Akilah adores her big brothers, so she doesn’t mind having company.
