My blog is finally pleasing to my eyes excluding the pages (I’ll fix them when I have a chance). In the past months, I’ve just been too busy and tired to be creative. I’ve finally had the opportunity to spend some sleepless nights making design tweaks. The new look and functionality will help me feel better about blogging. I mean I love my blog, I just have been dealing with a dilemma. So when I have some reviews whether it’s one or two at once that need (as in months overdue needed) to be posted (when I haven’t written about my life lately because I don’t want to), they’ll have their own lil’ section (so I can be fair to those who’ve sent product and readers who don’t want to get smacked back to back with reviews and so I don’t have to feel like I have to put filler posts in-between those review posts because it’s lame and obvious). I care too much about what people think, don’t I?

In the future, I see myself posting every 2-3 days for therapy, but I have to wrap up some things behind the scenes.

With so many bloggers migrating from Blogger to WordPress, I’m frequestly asked how to do so without losing Google Friend Connect Followers. So it’s time I post a tutorial on how to do it, so that I don’t have to explain anymore ;).

Go to http://www.google.com/friendconnect.

Select the Blogger/Blogspot blog being transferred to WordPress.

Select “Add the members gadget”.

Customize your widget’s colors and width.

Generate the code and copy and paste it in notepad. You’ll be pasting it the sidebar of your WordPress blog momentarily.

Towards the bottom of that code, there will be a 20-digit site id that looks like this:
site: ’12345678991234567899′

Copy your 20-digit site id number and paste it in this URL after “id=”: http://www.google.com/friendconnect/admin/site/settings?id=

It should look like this:
http://www.google.com/friendconnect/admin/site/settings?id=12345678991234567899

Enter the edited URL into your browser.

Under “Home URL”, enter the URL to your WordPress blog. Save.

Now go paste the code you generated on the Google Friend Connect site in your sidebar/widget or install the Google Friend Connect Integration plugin.

Did this help you? Click here to vote for me. All you have to do is click and it will register. ♥
